Rob Dob

Minister of Air Traffic Control and Air Sports

As Slowjamastan’s illustrious Minister of Air Traffic Control and Air Sports, I proudly oversee everything that flies, glides, hovers, or accidentally becomes airborne after a bad decision and a strong gust of wind.

With 30 years of real-world experience as both an Air Traffic Controller and a Pilot, I bring an unnecessary level of professionalism to a country that does not technically have an airport, a control tower, or a single working jet bridge. Yet. Minor details.

I am also the leading advocate for making skydiving the official national sport of Slowjamastan—because if you’re not falling majestically toward the ground while listening to slow jams, are you even patriotic?

My highly serious ministerial duties include:

Clearing imaginary flights for landing on our completely fictional, but emotionally significant, runway

Approving all Slowjamastani airspace activities, from paper airplanes and kites to “I saw this once on YouTube” jetpack attempts

Ensuring all seagulls, pigeons, and suspiciously aerodynamic chickens file proper flight plans (currently in hostile negotiations)

Providing unsolicited expert advice to anyone attempting to fly a lawn chair with balloons, a shopping cart with wings, or anything powered by “trust me, bro”

Strictly enforcing the national decree that all flights transporting Crocs (the footwear, not the reptile) will be denied entry, diverted, or forced to jettison their cargo over international waters—those clogs are contraband

Conducting random fashion inspections on socks-with-sandals at boarding gates, purely for national security

Mandating that all national skydiving attempts be accompanied by a properly curated slow jam playlist, synchronized with the scream-to-freefall ratio

Enforcing the sacred national rule: no inflight snacks, only inflight slow jams at 30,000 feet (or 3 feet, if you’re just jumping off a curb with style)
I hold dual certifications in “Winging It” and “It’ll Probably Be Fine,” with an honorary doctorate in “You Probably Shouldn’t Do That, But I Kind of Want to See What Happens.”

Under my watch, Slowjamastan’s skies remain 100% safe, 100% fun, and 0% FAA-approved—just the way the Supreme Leader likes it.
