Sooner “Bea Gouda” McKay
Minister of Crafts & Napping
I reside in Colorado and have spent much of my life exploring creativity, storytelling, community-building, and the occasional absurd adventure.
Eventually, my search for the perfect nation led me to Slowjamastan. To me, Slowjamastan is the ideal Step-Mother Nation—a place that embraces humor, humanity, individuality, and the occasional absurdity of modern life.
As Minister of Crafts & Napping, I advocate for the revolutionary notion that creativity and rest are not luxuries, but essential components of a flourishing society. I am honored to serve the Republic by promoting crafting, napping, hurkle-durkling, and other restorative pursuits in the interest of national well-being.
In recent years, my work has focused on reimagining the ways people build community, share power, and create more connected and compassionate societies. I believe that creativity, curiosity, and meaningful rest are among humanity’s most powerful tools for positive change.
In my spare time, I enjoy writing, attending stand-up comedy shows, and engaging in responsible hurkle-durkling on a daily basis, considering it to be just as important as brushing my teeth.
